We're happy to inform two films featuring music by our composers have been awarded at DocPoint – Helsinki Documentary Film Festival. Over 31 000 tickets were sold this year at DocPoint so it seems Helsinki loves film!
The DocPoint audience award went to director Niina Brandt's My Secret Forest (2016), which tells the story of 20-year old Lauri, an autistic and philosophical young man, who dreams of love. The film was produced by Doubleback Documentaries. SonicLake songs were used together with composer Splendid Laine's score.
The DocPoint Critic's choice award was awarded for Puhtaus ja vaara (2017), directed by Elina Talvensaari. The film was produced by Aamu Film Company. The full soundtrack was made by our composers. We're excited about its release. The film has generated pretty much media interest in Finland and has an innovative way of dealing with its controversial topic.
Go, finnish film!
